Taken together, India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan and Sri Lanka region are home to over 1.8 billion people, with a rich tapestry of cultures, languages, and religions. Studies of this region are critical for understanding global dynamics in geopolitics, economics, democratic trends and social development. South Asia’s strategic location, rapidly growing economies, and complex socio-political issues, make research into the region vital.
